Haven’t had much to write about… and yet so much. May is a busy, busy month! Starting yesterday, May 1st, I had my first pre-mission trip meeting. Then this weekend we’re going to Wichita to see my brother, nephew and the rest of my family while Ryan is on R&R… and since I have yet to meet my nephew in person. Skype doesn’t count, he’s not old enough to understand. We have to come back Saturday to be there for church Sunday, then Monday at 1pm, I board a plane for Denver to go spend the week with Lisa to do all the last minute preparations for their wedding, which is Saturday the 15th. Then the following weekend is my sister’s high school graduation. And finally the May 30th is a big day at church. Confirmation class is finished an all the Confirmans join the church, we will be recognizing all the graduates (both high school and college) and on top of all of that, we will be doing a Ministry Fair to encourage everyone in the church to be a part of some sort of ministry in accordance with our church goal to have 90% of our body involved in ministry.
Oh, and did I mention that during this time, I’m supposed to be doing a mentorship to learn how to recruit and train volunteers with a guy I really respect and look up to in youth ministry?
Whew… busy May, and busy first part of June, but then, I get to relax and enjoy the rest of the summer hanging out with my kids, enjoying the fact that they don’t have school and taking a more relaxed approach to our mid-week meetings.
See ya in a month and a half.
