Twenty Days Remain

I get knocked down, but I get up again,
You’re never gonna keep me down.
I get knocked down, but I get up again,
You’re never gonna keep me down.

I think those lyrics apply well. The person termed “I” refers to me, and the person termed as “You” also refers to me. I gotta stop knocking myself down…but if I can’t, I can at least force myself to get back up.

Our internet wasn’t working last night, and I had nothing to do, so I went to bed at 10:30 – the earliest I’ve gone to bed in quite some time. It was pretty nice. I’m a pretty big fan of sleep, and I don’t think I’ve been getting near enough of it. I think that’s why I get grumpy sometimes. So as soon as I get done writing this, I’m going to invest three hours of my free afternoon in a wonderful nap. I’m kind of excited.

Recording was no fun…because it didn’t happen. Matthew and I spent four hours trying to troubleshoot the system. We used two different sound boards, two different cord configurations, and two different laptops, all to no avail. Booooo. Sunday morning was fun though. Matthew got to play with us on bass, and I think it went really well.

Question of the day: Is it unfair that as a 19 year-old I can vote, be drafted into the military, and help decide another man’s fate on a jury, but am not given the right to drink alcohol?

  1. Why are you asking about alcohol? You thinking about going out on a drinking binge, you boozehound?

Yeah, it seems stupid that you can’t drink as an adult, but that’s why God made Mexico: drinking and beautiful Mexican food.

  2. America’s just a communist state AFTER all….. oh wait, then they would let us drink at 10… or maybe 5. Actually, i don’t know about that either.

  3. well, you have to consider that the U.S. has given us youth the valuable privelage of drinking ILLEGALLY, which is really much more exciting and stimulating than legal drinking would be, and what is youth, if not exciting?

Sorry we didn’t get to hang out tonight. Also, I was out of town Sunday, so was not able to come to Xenos. Soon, though. Soon- Abe
