It’s For the Children

I come to this “create-a-post” page completely empty-handed. I have no thoughts on what I should write, no feelings that I think I need to express, and no jokes that I feel the need to share. So I’m just writing, and we’re just going to see what comes out. Together. For the childrens.

Yesterday during my lunchbreak from work, I came home and ate a frozen mexican dinner. It was, however, not frozen when I ate it, because I placed it in the microwave for three minutes, stirred it, and then placed it in again for an equal amount of time. So while I was sitting at the kitchen table eating my no-longer-frozen mexican dinner, I was also nonchalantly reading a letter that had been placed on the table at an earlier time. It was from our church’s Children’s Pastor, explaining the new Sunday School system they just implemented. She had signed it like so:

Jerry Seinfeld*

As of right now, I have officially decided I am going to steal that phrase and use it as my sign-off in my blog posts from now on. Because that’s what we here at the “Ansen Lays It On” foundation are really all about: the children! That’s why we’re supporting a new initiative called, “Lay it On the Children…for the Children.” This program encourages you to lay anything you can on the children, because that’s what children need. It’s easy to do! You can lay whatever you want on them. Lay blame on them, lay waste to their homeland or self-confidence, or even lay a beatdown on them.

Don’t sit around apathetically any longer. Take action, and lay it on a child near you today!
