Excuses, Excuses

It is a sad day in the bloggosphere.

I suppose the day isn’t over yet, but we’re running out of time. This may mark one of the first times where not one person has updated their blog. Which makes for an “un-fun” time of surfing. People need to get with it. I know you probably all have excuses…

“I had to go babysit my girlfriend’s poodle!!”

“I needed to go watch a movie sooo bad!”

“But I had to work to pay for my education!”

“I had to go to a bar and get drunk sooo bad!”

“I’m in Mexio! Um…sooo bad!”

Excuses are like arm-pits – everyone has two and they both stink. I don’t care about your girlfriend, your education, your addictions, or the poor people in other countries! Update your blog!!

Ok…I suppose I can let the “helping poor people” one slide. But just this time. Don’t let it happen again.

So tonight I went to KC and watched John Brown play their NAIA final four game in Municipal Auditorium. They won by 13, and so they’ll play again tomorrow (against Azusa Pacific) in the national championship game. Watch it on CSTV, available on your cable or satellite carrier. Unless you’re like me, who has neither.

Anyway, here’s a goodnight kiss and a lucubration to carry you through until tomorrow: When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we’d all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn’t until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.
