Yay for Being Happy!

I’ve decided I’m going to do all in my power to keep my focus on being optimistic. To coincide with this effort, I’m going to write nothing but positive things on here until at least next Sunday.

You see…I’m far too easily tempted to complain and attempt to garner sympathy from people…and if they don’t give it…it makes things even worse. Much worse. But you know what, I hate it when people do nothing but complain non-stop, so people probably don’t appreciate that from me either. People like joyful and encourging people. People that will be there and listen and care more about the other person than themselves. So that’s what I’m purposing to do. To put you (whoever you may be) before myself.

And as far as trying to be optimistic goes…try to be uplifting, and I will be too. Deal? Cool cool.

So…my positive dealy-da-whatsit of the day…I feel like even through trying times I’m learning a lot. I’m learning a lot about myself and my wants and needs, and I’m learning a lot about the needs of others as well, whether that be my mom, my sister, my girlfriend, or other friends. I feel like with that knowledge I’ll be able to easier keep myself on track, as well as be as supportive of others and receptive to what they need me to give. And it always makes me feel good when I can help someone else.

Also…(you’re in for a double-dose of optimism and happiness today)…I love my mom. I don’t know what I would do without her. She takes my whining with sympathy, hugs me, and then makes me food. What more could I want from a mother??

I answer that question with a resouding “NOTHING!!” :)

  1. I gotta say she’s a pretty great mom if you ask me!
So this optimism thing could be very good! And I will try to be optimistic too… ’cause we all know that I can be kinda… disheartening at times

  2. Well, yes it is kind of like i have three homes. Also, thanks for the encouragement to be uplifting and positive. I think that is a really conscious thing to do. Good luck on your optimistic looking week!

  3. I’m glad you like your Mom. They are pretty important. I notice I’ve been taken off of your “favorites” list and I haven’t even made it to the “graveyard”. I’m kind of dissappointed. But only kind of.
