Today was one of the better days I’ve had in a long time.
I got part of the day off from work. I’m officially living in a duplex next semester instead of J. Alvin. My sister got hired on at Sports Center for a second job. I talked to Pete and Chase and Andrew and Dan and Ollie…all at the same time via an AIM chat room.
Fun times.
No worries though…tomorrow promises to be more normal: Fifteen hours of work.
*12:33 PM*
Matthew’s cancer is officially in remission!! Woohooo!
Well, if you consider that talking to us all at once, that’s pretty lame. Well, we all were on at one time or another.
in regards to your comment… I think that sounds like a good plan. Is Dan in your side? ‘Cause if so, then we have more problems. If he isn’t he can have the kitchen on his side and I’ll take yours ;)
BTW what’s with your blog… it’s different. Is it supposed to be… or not?
That’s great about Matthew!
I agree that relationships change because life happens. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it but I do think there is something wrong when people don’t try to make some kind of an effort to keep some kind of ties. I didn’t really mean for my comments on the article to fit everybody…just more my group of friends. I think most of us have a pretty good grip on who we are and I think if we can be friends before one of us gets into a relationship because we have a lot of things in common, we can still be friends during the relationship (and after marriage) as well because we should still have a lot of things in common. Basically, I don’t think there is much of an excuse for friendships going away except laziness (in one way or the other; life does happen, but in this day in age,it really doesn’t take much to keep up with everyone)- on both sides.
When you said, “forsake your friends” it reminded me of Aragorn’s speech at the end of The Return of the King…”A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down, but it is not this day. This day we fight!”
And now this is long enough.
And since I randomly made myself anonymous and I’m not that was left by me.
