When I last checked, I’m probably averaging somewhere around six posts per week, I’ve written slightly over 386 words, and I have twenty-eight outbound links, not even including links within posts…but oh well. On to business. Here are tributes to all of the runners-up in the 1000th visitor sweepstakes. The grand prize tribute will be tomorrow. Thanks again for playing and may all your days be filled with the color green.

10th Runner-Up: NATHAN (Prize: 1 Word)

Girls.

9th Runner-Up: TIFFANY (Prize: 3 Words)

Faithful Freelance fan.

8th Runner-Up: LILA (Prize: 5 Words)

Best mom in the world.

7th Runner-Up: GUS (Prize: 10 Words)

This kid’s got a long name. Our small group rocks!

6th Runner-Up: SARAH (Prize: 17 Words)

What to say about Sarah? Red Hair + Absolutely Hilarious + Crimson Bonnet + Very Comical + Pelo Rojo = Awesome Girl!!!

5th Runner-Up: DAVID (Prize: 28 Words)

If you meet a guy that’s absolutely hilarious, has awesome hair, is a basketball stud, plays the drums, and is brimming over with pizzaz, then you’ve found David.

4th Runner-Up: KELSIE (Prize: 40 Words)

I haven’t known Kelsie long, but there’s already memories: Everyone leaving the table except us, The Incredibles, Winter Formal, sitting on Rachel’s porch in the cold, Silver Bells, spoons and pens, discussing Kyle and Kristen, and reading each other’s blogs.

3rd Runner-Up: JACKIE (Prize: 55 Words)

I don’t know if I’ve ever had a bigger fan or supporter. Jackie’s always there to make me laugh with stories of her crush on the president as well as fat people and gimps trying to gain her fair hand. She was there when there was that thing with 10125175…..She knows what I mean.

2nd Runner-Up: THOMAS (Prize: 75 Words)

Thomas is approximately 163 times funnier than me and 163,000 times more intelligent. I’ve known him ever since that fateful day in second grade where he was crying because he wanted to be in Mrs. Hunter’s class instead of Mrs. Hines’. Ever since then he’s always been there to discuss old Nintendo games (such as Super Mario 64) with me when I needed to talk to someone. We need to make another Art History video…

1st Runner-Up: JESSICA (Prize: 100 Words)

There are few people that I know that are easier to talk to. I’ve had some great conversations with Jessica. Unfortunately it’s hard to fill one hundred words with those conversations, since so many were for no ears but our own. Jessica has always been there when I need to talk to someone, and I hope I’ve done the same for her. It’s great to have someone that you know will understand. Some people say it’s hard to have “just a friend” of the opposite gender that you can share things with. Jessica, I think we’ve proved them wrong. Yup.

Well folks, there you have it. Sorry about that last “yup” there. I was at 99 words and nothing was coming to me.

I’m off to see if I can go to youth group, so here’s your lucubration of the day: I bet that when the Neanderthal kids would make a snowman, someone would always end up saying, “Don’t forget the thick, heavy brows.” Then they would all get embarrassed because they remembered they had the big hunky brows too, and they’d get mad and eat the snowman.

  1. Aw…I feel so honored. I’d like to thank all the little people who have made this moment possible for me…I’d like to thank Christ Jesus for placing me at King Solomon to be Ansen’s “Group Mom” in 2003…this is truly a beautiful experience for me.

  2. GIRLS!!
Ansens you have ruined me. For those interested in the truth and a disclaimer go to Nathan’s blog. Wow this will be hard to explain if my mom checks the ole blogs.
