State of the T-Town Blogring

Well, as you may be able to tell, I just finished a links overhaul on my sidebar over there to the left. A few new names now grace the list, but I am actually quite concerned with the new trends that I’m seeing. A few names were completely deleted because the same event occured with their blogs, and if you glance down at the dead blogs list, you’ll notice that it has grown substantially.

Yesterday’s update saw four new blogs added, two moved to the favorites list, one moving off of the dead blogs list, and TEN blogs moving down to the dead blogs grouping. Come on now…let’s show some dedication people!!

Now, it is interesting to note that 90% of the blogs that were moved down to the dead blogs list were only posted on for two months or less. Equally interesting is that of the eight original blogs in our little blog grouping (those started during or before January 2005 – Ansen, David, Abe, Thomas, Jessica W., Nathan, Sarah the Red, Kelsie/Rachel), only one of them is currently on the dead blogs list (Kelsie/Rachel).

Some crazy stats eh?? But anyway, all I’m really trying to say is that our blog turnover rate is getting too high. Get back into it. I don’t care if your blog has been dead two days or five months. Now’s the time to start again. C’mon now. No excuses like “no one reads my blog” (not true) or “I don’t have time” (not true).

Oh, and one other thing – xanga is not a sub for blogging. It is dumb.
