No School at School

Today was a day of coolness. That’s really the only way to describe it.

You might think that it would be because there were about eight sophomore girls at my house earlier tonight, but that’s not really true. The only time I really talked to them was while I was heating up my chimichangas in the microwave.

I think that it might have had something to do with the fact that school wasn’t very school-like today. While lots of people were out skiing in Colorado or building houses in Mexico, I was outside playing on the playground with a bunch of elementary aged kids. And it was fun. Check it out:

First class, Great Ideas: Talk for a little bit about Kant, and then watch Spiderman 2.

Second class, English: Read a play about Tartuffe for a bit, then go play outside with some smiley-face ball that Abe had.

Lunch: Taco salad. Yummm.

Third class, Art History: Work on art for at least five or six minutes, then go outside and play more for about an hour and twenty minutes.

Fourth class, Madrigals: Went down the street to G’s Ice Cream. Except I stayed behind and drank tea out of a kitty mug while sitting in the middle of the hallway.

Fifth class, Choir: Play outside. Pretty much the whole time.

After School, Golf Practice: I played pretty badly, but it was the first time I’d hit a ball in four months so expectations weren’t too high.

After Practice, Halo 2/setting up Google Adsense/blogging: Even though Andrew heartlessly chose having a barber in Emporia cut his hair over playing with his friend, it still wasn’t bad. Then it was off to work on the blog, and there’s nothing much better than that eh?

Oh yeah. Even though I’ve never been on it, I looove the ski trip.

Lucubration of the Day: It’s true that every time you hear a bell, an angel gets its wings. But what they don’t tell you is that every time you hear a mouse trap snap, an angel gets set on fire.
