Nathan’s Epitaph

In this grave are deposited the remains of Nathaniel Eilert’s blog.

Nathan was a penetrating genius,
Improved by an extensive acquaintance
With the ways of blogdom.
This rendered him superior to most.
His native good sense and literary accomplishments
Attracted universal notice
While his amiable disposition and social virtues,
Especially his singular frankness and un-disassembled benevolence,
Gained him the esteem and love of all.

He was a dutiful son,
An affectionate brother,
A faithful friend,
And an agreeable companion.

A sincere piety towards God
Crowned his other virtues and promised a blog eminently useful.
But a blasted hope in the vigor of youth
Amidst happy prospects was cut off by a raging fever.

He breathed forth his soul.
A link shall stand in Ansen’s favorites as a testament to this deceased wonder.
