For our iLead@Life program here at JBU (leadership scholarship program), we have several events each semester. This last weekend, we went through a two or three hour long program to help us develop personal life mission statemtents. My first thought was something along the lines of “to glorify God”. It was soon pointed out, however, that for Christians, that purpose is a given. The better question is…what individual qualities and talents has God given me to accomplish this goal, and what specifically do I need to do to continue striving towards it? The result is very personal and somewhat specific, yet still broad enough to be applicable for a lifetime:
My mission in life is to build harmonious, loving relationships – firstly with my peers through caring and genuine personal interactions, and secondly with the world as a whole through the medium of broadcasting – by embracing people as reflections of God, relating to their individual situations, and providing them with a source of uplifting humor, enthusiastic advice, and encouragement.
Ansen! I can’t click on the comment button on your current post! Anyways, I just wanted to say that I remember 10 days ago when it was 180 days. Now it’s 170!!
