I’m Just Mostly Dead

Another weekend comes to a close!

I thoroughly enjoyed Abe and Matthew paying a visit – it provided much entertainment…but it all came back to bite me tonight as I realized I had done none of my homework for Monday. Nothing like a good six and a half hour homework session to get you back in the academic spirit though…let me tell you.

Today was blah. Draining, I suppose, could be the correct word. It wasn’t bad…and I was in a pretty good mood all day…it was just draining. I was tired from staying up last night (not that I regret it), and then got up for a choir concert we had at a church this morning. We left at 11:30 and didn’t get back until after 5:00. Apparently to many people in choir I’m known as “the guy who never says a word”. When I heard that I laughed to myself. And said nothing.

I then came back, changed, watch a little bit of the World Baseball Classic, and went to dinner. Dria wasn’t/still isn’t feeling good…which is kind of a bummer, so I walked her back and then began my homework. First a wellness paper, then spanish, then more wellness, then working on a presentation/pitch of an entire tv and radio commercial campaign for Vonage. That includes writing, scripting, storyboard, producing, and editing each commercial, as well as preparing a pitch to give to the class tomorrow in the form of a fifteen minute presentation. Check it out. Not a bad commercial for just not even shooting any footage and using nothing but my laptop and ten minutes of my time eh? Yeah…that’s right, only ten mintes to actually make it. That might give you an idea of how long I spent doing all the other stuff.

Needless to say, I just got done. Throw a tornado warning in the middle there and you have my evening. Kinda funny. When people at the cathedral hear there’s a tornado, they all say, “Oh no!” and run to the basement. When all the people in J. Alvin hear there’s a tornado, they all say, “Oh yes!” and run outside. Don’t worry, no one died.

But I think I’m going to be mostly dead tomorrow. At least.

  1. Some of us in the cathedral wanted to go outside but they wouldn’t let us… dang fun-sucking custodians. Um, in relation to your comment on my post, I’m not sure which of my two favoite catchphrases to use… “I can explain!” , or “It seemed like a good idea at the time!” lol. Don’t worry… I have this under control!

  2. Ansen- it was indeed a good weekend. I had an absolute blast and was sore to leave so soon. Are you coming back for spring break? I thought I saw something on you blog about a roaming choir…
