I Am Lame (And Sparticus)

Yes I shot a 39 on the front nine and finished overall with an 82 and got 3rd place and avenged my disqualification from last years’ state tournament. Oh, and the team got first. And back to back state championships means it’s not a fluke. Which means we’re going to get cool t-shirts this year. Cause we’re designing them.

Highlights of the trip:

– Michael making jokes about orientals playing golf. “Maybe if you opened your eyes you’d play better!!”
– The entire golf team back-seat driving for coach. “You know we’re going pretty slow. You should probably go faster. You’re going one mph under the speed limit. I don’d care if you’re boxed in. IT’S A GAP! GO! CHANGE LANES!!”
– Shane randomly bursting out into laughter for a solid three minutes while every person in the whole room stared at him in bewilderment.
– Making fun of some fat kid. Named lard or slimfast or something like that.
– Hitting an 82.
– Michael eating a cracker that had probably been on the floor of the suburban for a number of months.
– Chris O. finding a box of jellybelly chocolate dessert candies and reading out which flavor each one was and then dishing them out to the first person to extend their hand.
– Making fun of the cinco de mayo celebration downtown. “Ay ay ayyyyah!!”
– Shooting 42 strokes better than the second place person in my foursome.
– Making catholic jokes.
– Telling Michael about how exciting *cough* the junior retreat was (for us)/will be (for him).
– Winning state!

Oh yes. It was a beautiful end to my high school sports career. Woah. Kind of weird to think about that. No more high school sports. EVER. Mmm. The end of the high school road is within the distance of a good 3 wood shot followed up by a sand wedge chip onto the graduation stage.

That was lame.
