Here at JBU Labor day means Labor Day. As in we have school. Booooo.
Wanna give a little shout out here to my favorite little guy in the world – Marshall!! Marshy, I hope you’re having a great year at school, I hope you’re beating all of our Gamecube games, and I hope you have an awesome birthday dude!!! Everyone give Marshall a big happy birthday for me! You’re the best bro ever!!
(Mom make sure he reads that. I’ll call him tomorrow too.)
So this weekend was fun. Not quite as jam-packed as last weekend, but fun nonetheless. We played some Texas Hold ‘Em tonight (only for chips – we didn’t break our “Community Covenant”). In fact, like three different RA’s poked their head in and made sure we were only playing for chips.
My suite rocks. Seriously. I think I have like the coolest sweet-mates in J. Alvin. Andrew is a tizzight roomate, Josh across the hall is totally awesome, Peter is the nicest guy ever, Oliver is from Chile and helps me with my Spanish homework (along with being very funny), Bernie makes me laugh, other Andrew and Jeremiah are pretty awesome too (although they’re not around as much). Random facts: 6 of the 8 of us play the guitar, 5 of 8 play the piano, and 3 of 8 play the drums, 2 of 8 are in choir. Crazy stuff.
In other news…new tentative Ansen returning to Topeka is the weekend of the 16th. Andrew is planning on going home that weekend so I’m thinking I might tag along. So keep that weekend free and then come visit me when I get back!!! Or I’ll kill you!
Happy birthday Marshall!
Thanks Ansen.
Love, Marshall
Ansen, you might be coming home the same weekend as the giant Library booksale! Woo-hoo. We should hang out… and buy books. Or something. I’d call you tonight, but my parents took my cell-phone. It’s okay though cause no one has my number anyway. See ya- Abe
Wait, maybe I should call you from the land-line. BRILLIANT!
You’re a smart man.
playing poker with only chips takes all the joy and excitement out of it… why bother? it’s like drinking sparkling grape juice and waiting for a buzz.
Hmmm…maybe…but I really like sparkling grape juice. Just for the taste – no buzz necessary.
it doesn’t really matter though because technically we can be kicked out of school if it’s discovered that we’re gambling.
Hey i will try to keep the 16th open. I think its funny how different your school is from mine, lol. Did i mention that i have season tickets to K-State football!!!!
