I’m sitting here in the radio studio listening to “Jesus Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood, which won the “Ansen’s Absolute Least Favorite Song Ever” award rather recently, so I decided I’d blog to take my mind off of it.
I got off to a slow start yesterday, but it turned out to be a good day. By “a slow start” I mean that I didn’t wake up till two and then slept periodically throughout the day until around 9:00 PM. After that we went to Fayetteville and watched Ice Age 2, which was pretty funny…but not as good as the first. You could tell the plot was just a lame excuse to make another movie, but the little squirrel dude that chases the acorn around made up for it.
After the movie we came back to campus at which point people started dropping like flies to negativity and un-fun-ness…but then it started pouring rain and so, like the smart college students we are, everyone perked up and ran outside to play in the severe weather. Somewhere around 10 seconds after some guy told us we were retarded for running around on the quad at one in the morning during a thunderstorm because we were gonna get hit by lightning, we almost did. Lightning hit right niext to J. Alvin, and it was probably the closest to a lightning strike I’ve ever been. I’m talking deafening bang…blinding light, all of us dropping to the ground, people dying everywhere – it was insane.
Anyway…I lived, which I’m pretty excited about. And it’s pretty windy today. And that’s my life in a nutshell!
jabjabjFor when my parents read this post: I’m still alive as well.
Ignore the jabjab
so sunday we got hit by a massive hailstorm with golf-ball sized hail so thick I couldn’t see to the end of FBC’s parking lot. It was, as they say in spanish countries, ‘incrediable!’
maybe you shouldn’t play in the lightning storm anymore…just a thought.
at least your house didnt get struck by lightning- like ours! hey i was at dillons when the hail started comin’ down! -pretty exciting!
