Family

I love my family. I think sometimes I’m not thankful enough for them. I love how they care about me so much and are concerned when I’m concerned. I love how they’ll sit down and talk about my problems even if I’m not there and then relay me their advice.

My dad and my “oldest younger sister” tie for the most driven people I have ever known (they’re alike in so many ways!). When they are going to do something…they do it, and I only wish I had that kind of follow-through ability. Their work-ethics are remarkable.

I love those crazy times with my Arielle where we can’t stop laughing…like changing to different talk radio shows in the car to make the people sound like they’re saying stuff they aren’t.

Arielle has my favorite laugh of anyone I’ve ever heard.

I love how much my dad cares about my success…and I’m honored that he would work so hard to help me achieve that.

I love the fact that my dad calls me sometimes during a twenty minute drive just to say hi or leave me a message.

I’m so thankful that my dad is best spiritual leader I know. My commitment to my faith would not be half of what it is now without his continual pushing, encouraging, and insight.

I have found that I share much of my mom’s characteristics and am beginnning to maybe even share some of her past experiences. I’m so thankful that she’s willing to share her experiences and the wisdom she’s gained through them with me.

On most topics (especially social ones), I respect my mom’s opinion more than anyone else I have ever known.

I love how my little brother will randomly ask if I’m coming home for Easter…and do so earnestly and excitedly.

I love how when I first see him again after a long time his eyes light up and he tells me all about his most recent “favorite video game” and begs me to come play with him.

I love how when I come home my little brother and sister run over to hug me so fast they come close to knocking me over.

I love how my cats purr even when I’m just talking to one of my family members on the phone. :)
