Dernfangled New Services…

I think the main culprit in the cause of my blogging scarcity and others’ blogging extinction stems from other services that have become popular in the last year – MySpace, Xanga, and most noticeably, Facebook. I enjoy Facebook a lot (not so much the other two), but the lack of blogging still saddens me.

But onto my life. Yesterday was fun, because it was the 31st annual Siloam Springs Christmas Parade. The thing that made it even more fun was that I was in the parade! That’s right, Ansen got assigned the task of driving the KLRC Yukon, decked out in Christmas lights of course, through Siloam Springs as part of the parade. I thought it might be kind of boring by myself, so I grabbed Andrew, Chase, Janelle, and Jessica to go along with me. We sat around, talked, and waited for an hour, but then we waved and shouted “Merry Christmas” and other holiday frivolities at young children.

The best part was when we went around one corner downtown where all the JBU students happened to be. A lot of people recognized us, and a humongous cheer went up when we went by. KLRC was broadcasting the thing live from that corner as well, so they aired it on the radio.

Anyway, now ’tis Sunday night, and I am left to do homework and laundry. It’s ok though because CHRISTMAS IS COMING SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
