So registration went well. Here’s the low down on my schedule:

Major #1: Broadcasting
Major #2: Spanish
Total Hours: 19

Old Testament Survey – David Brisben – MWF 9:00-9:50
Western Civilization I – Scott Jones – MWF 10:00-10:50

Intermediate Spanish – Virginia Ramirez – MWF 1:00-1:50
Gateway Seminar: The Music, Faith and Politics of U2 – Dan Lambert – MW 2:00-2:50
Mass Media/Culture – Jason Hough – TR 9:00-10:15
Electronic Studio and Film Production – Carey Byars TR 1:15-2:30
Beginning Radio Practicum – Melody Miller – TBA

So yeah. I’m going to be a busy man. I have five classes on Monday and Wednesday, four on Friday, and two on Tuesday and Thursday. I’m gonna be getting up at 9:00 every morning. But I’ll be done by 2:30 or 2:50 every day, except on Fridays I’ll be done at 1:50. Ten hours of work study per week, plus nineteen hours of class. Only eighteen will count for credit though. I’m doing choir for no credit because if you go over eighteen you have to pay more money.

It was a fun time. It definitely assured me of my decision to attend JBU in the first place. The teachers and students are so nice, and the campus is absolutely beautiful. Even while I sort of want to stay around Topeka, I can hardly wait to get started at JBU. It’s going to be awesome getting to know all those new people. I got to meet a bunch of other incoming freshman, so that was cool. I don’t think I have any classes with Andrew, but I’ll probably get enough of him in the dorms. :) I have choir with Craig, Intermediate Spanish with Ruth, and four different classes with Eva Peterson (she’s also majoring in broadcasting).

The dorms are pretty nice, and the food was REALLY good!! They have pasta, a hamburger bar, plus their feature cafateria stuff. Oh, and they have cherry coke. Which is important. I am signed up for 16 meals a week (I usually don’t eat breakfast), plus I get about $65 worth of credit to spend at the little cafe thing in the student center.

For all you seniors out there, I can’t say enough good stuff about this school. Come visit me sometime this year and check it out. If you want a Christian College with a wide selection of majors, you should look into JBU. It’s just awesome.

Anyway, that’s about it for today. Oh, I almost forgot! I also got my new e-mail address, which is BayerA@jbu.edu. I’m not going to be checking my old one anymore, so send stuff to that address. Till the morrow next!

*I’ve decided not to make my post about Christian colleges and that stuff, because I think it would’ve made people angry.

  1. Glad you’re happy. I’ll have to come see you sometime next year, JBU’s only a couple hours away from me. When you see Michelle Roberts, tell her I say hey.

  2. I know Eva! She’s pretty hip.

That’s ok if you don’t write a post about Christian colleges because everyone already knows OCC is the best college ever!!!
