There’s nothing more depressing than having a great day and then getting on your computer to see that your blog post has no comments. ‘Tis a travesty I say.
Maybe it’s because my links are all spaced out weird. Sorry. I’ll fix it sometime when I get a chance and am not feeling lazy.
Anyway, things are going good, and I’m finally starting to develop some meaningful friendships with people. And by that I mean it’s more than “Hey, that person is from there and is majoring in that and I don’t remember his name.” I really like my suite mate Josh – he spends a lot of time in my room playing Halo. Oliver and Pete (couple other suite mates) are pretty awesome as well.
I’ve made some other friends too though (from classes or just randomly sitting by them at lunch one day). Chase is a good guy – I have three classes w/ him because he’s a Broadcast major. We went and bought our cassettes for Radio Practicum today at Wal-Mart and we’re going to record together tomorrow. Aubrey is another (becoming) good friend of mine – she plays varsity volleball on scholarship (aka she’s really good) here and I had a good 30 minute or so conversation w/ her today over at the student center.
It’s nice to start to dig deeper than the traditional name/location/major question. And of course I’ve still got my old friends. It was open dorm night for J. Alvin so Ruth came over and saw our room and stuff. Craig and I jammed on the guitar for a good hour today, and Andrew and I are doing pretty good as roomates at this point.
So…what I’m saying is that even though none of you like me enough to comment on my blog, I’m still ok. I can make it on my own.
I’m going to be a quarterback someday. I’m going to throw for two thousand yards.
somehow i can actually imagine you being quarterback. which is strange in my head. how is craig? tell him to get a blog. how are you?
It’s okay, lil’ brudda! Everything is going to be fine.
anywho, glad you’re connecting with people. That’s gotta be sweet. I haven’t really had the opportunity to beyond joking around a lot/saying, ‘come and dance with me baby’ (for the girls. I don’t say this to guys).
I was going to end the comment here, but I don’t feel like it. What kind of stuff to you do all day once your classes are done, besides jamming on guitar? Your place down there sounds pretty awesome. Keep updating- Abe
Some people might comment more if they thought you cared enough to PHONE HOME! But…it’s okay, I can make it on MY own as well, all I need is Homestar Runner and my other three kids. –Mom
Oh, Lil’ Brudder! Blahblahblahblah, Lil’ Brudder!
Haha, sweet action, Ansen. It’s super to hear you’re doing well and having tons of fun and such down there. I’m finding myself diving a bit deeper than the same staple Q&A; sessions with some people too, and it’s mighty exciting. Unfortunately, it’s mostly other gallies I’m meeting, seeing as I’m in an all girl’s hall. But s’all good, ’cause I’m meeting some nice young gents in classes now too.
Not sure why I felt the need to elaborate that much, but anyhow, keep up the gnarly fun times!
