It Could Be Worse

You know, some days you just can’t help not being interesting. Like today. I honestly have no idea what this blog will hold, I’m just sort of going with the flow – making it up as it comes to me. Today itself was sort of like that. Nothing real exciting. It’s not like it was a bad day, but it wasn’t an especially good day either.

Now I suppose these types of days could be categorized as either good or bad days. I guess it depends on whether or not your a glass is half-full or half-empty kind of person. I mean, this could be considered a good day. I woke up this morning, I’ve had food to eat, I have this house to live in, I have a guitar to play, I have a blog to write, I have a computer to use to write it, I have family, and I haven’t done drugs.

But on the other hand, it’s really hot in my room right now, my chair has a hard back and is pretty uncomfortable, school starts again in a couple days, I didn’t get to eat a steak tonight, K-State lost to Colorado AT HOME, I didn’t make any money, I didn’t learn any valuable life lessons…

Ah HA! That’s it. I have learned a lesson: No matter how bad things get, they could get worse.

Now…you could look at this as a good thing or as a bad thing.

It could be a good thing because it means that your life isn’t as bad as it could possibly get, you’ll never reach the point where it will be the worse it could possibly get, there are plenty of other people who have it worse than you, and besides, the worst thing that could happen is death, and that’s not that bad cause you’ll go to heaven! I mean, even though you look bad, there’s at least someone that looks worse:

But on the other hand, it is a bad thing because you know that there is always the possibility of things getting worse, there is always the thought that even though things are absolutely horrible right now, just give it a minute or so and you’ll be even lower! I mean, there are people out there that look better than you and have more money than you and will probably even make fun of you for it. Like this guy.

But, I have officially decided to take the positive stance. I mean take my blog for example. I’m not saying it’s the best blog out there. Not by any stretch of the imagination. But, it’s definitely not as bad as this one…
