It’s “Musical Tuesday” for Ansen!!!! Yay! I’m going to share some lyrics with you from the new songs I got (I’m now up to 1108 tracks). If you can name the artist and song title for each one you win a prize!! Actually not, because you could probably cheat and just type the lyrics into google or something. But be a good person and don’t cheat. See if you can get ’em all!! Who knows…this might just become a weekly thing…

———————————————-

Everything you are,
Falls from they sky like a star.
Everything you are,
Whatever ever you are.

———————————————–

Welcome to a new kind of tension
All across the alienation.
Where everything isn’t meant to be O.K.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We’re not the ones who’re meant to follow,
For that’s enough to argue.

————————————————

There’s a feeling I get
When I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who standing looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.

————————————————

And all your weight
It falls on me.
It brings me down.
And all your weight
It falls on me.
It falls on me.

————————————————

Ah, might as well jump.
Jump! Might as well jump.
Go ahead an’ jump.
Jump! Go ahead and jump.

  1. The first one is “Dizzy” by the Goo Goo Dolls.
The second one is “American Idiot” by Green Day.
    Don’t know the third :-(
The forth is “Heavy” by Collective Soup
Don’t know the Forth one :-(

Some of my friends in choir helped me…

  2. I definitely got the first one (but whoever tiffany is stole it from me) and the fourth one is “Heavy” by Collective SOUL (not collective soup)…

  3. The one you guys can’t figure out is “Stairway to Heaven”. Any old fart would know that!

  4. Too easy, perhaps?

    Goo goo dolls- dizzy
    Green Day- American Idiot
    Led Zepplin- Stairway to Heaven
    Collective Soul- Heavy
    Van Halen- Jump

No research. Give a challenge, brother. Here’s my tickler:

    We drove eight hundred miles
    without seeing a cop
    blasting music…
    from the t-top
