That Was Amazing!!

Mmm. Today was a good day. In fact, it was a great day. For three reasons.

Reason #1: Worship at Youth Service!!

I went to bed around 4:30 this morning and got up at 8:00. The band and I went over to the church and practiced for a bit before the service started. The whole thing went really well. It sounded awesome, especially considering we learned almost all of the songs in two practices. It was one of those times when I enjoyed every moment of being up there on the stage – no nervousness or anything of the sort. Just awesome music.

Reason #2: An entire day with Becky!!

Becky came over for lunch, a board game, and a movie, then we went to Youth Group and crushed the other team in kickball, and then I headed up to Holton for some awesome ice cream and cookies. Yum. There’s nothing better than a full day with someone after you’ve been missing them for a week.

Reason #3: Sleep with no work in the morning!!

The drive back from Holton was the first time I ever really felt like I was going to fall asleep at the wheel. I did manage to stay awake however, thanks to some DC Talk up at full blast and me forcing myself to keep singing along.

Now I’m back, and I’m getting ready to enjoy a wonderful night in the comfort of my own bed (not that sleeping on the floor of Matthew’s basement with no covers and a couch cushion for a pillow isn’t comfortable). And the best part? No work till 4:00, which means it’s time to do a little sleepin’ in.
