TV Show!

I am sorry to announce that although it had a long and illustrious career, the random news bit has been laid to rest to make way for new traditions. It served its purpose well.

Nothing else has really happened since I’ve last posted. I’m kinda doing this out of duty. I did get all the classes I wanted, so my schedule is set. We have a crazy hard English paper due tomorrow. I don’t like that class. At all.

For our TV studio production class we (a group of four of us) have to produce a thirty minute television show with both studio and field production elements. We are doing the JBU version of SNL, and it promises to be hilariously cool. Four sketches – 1st, a newscast with fake news about what’s going on a JBU. 2nd, an Apprentice rip-off where three students from three different majors all compete to get a janitorial workstudy job by completing various tasks. 3rd, a show entitled “A Day in the Life of a Homsechooled college student” (Apologies to you home-schoolers out there, I still like you) where a nerdy kid goes to wellness class and learns that babies don’t come from storks…and 4th, a skit where J. Alvin students pretend they’re a frat and having a major party. Except they play drinking games with cream soda instead of beer, they don’t dance because that leads to sex, and the DJ only plays Michael W. Smith songs.

That was a long paragraph. I’m done now. But I promise to let you see our show when it’s done. Now moving on to the new tradition…
