Hey there.
Happy Valentine’s day to all! If you want to see a sharp contrast, go read my blog post from February 14th, 2005, and then read what I’m about write.
TODAY WAS AWESOME! The day started at 10:00 as my good buddy Chase met me in the suite to start preparing for the day. We skipped chapel so we could work on decorating our suite. First, we took almost everything out of the main room except the two largest couches. That was probably a good idea because we found a lot of trash all over our suite and we vacuumed and things like that. We then swiped a table from Walker and borrowed a tablecloth and some nice platewear and silverwear and napkins and stuff and set up a dining room of sorts. We put christmas lights up and then hung huge black sheets of paper from the ceiling to block off the back of the room. So pretty much the room was crazy cool looking.
THEN we went to Wal-Mart around four to get some “supplies”, and began to cook dinner starting at around…5:00…something. I don’t really remember. But anyway, we had salad, spaghetti and french bread…and, for dessert, cooookie thingies. But I’m getting ahead of myself.
We picked up Dria and Janelle at Mayfield at 6:45. We left roses on their seats for them…so that was our first “special touch” thing. We then promptly blind-folded them, telling them that we were taking them out to eat, but they couldn’t know where. We then proceeded to drive all around Siloam for around twenty minutes, before finally arriving back at J. Alvin just after open dorm had begun. We led them inside and into the suite and then took their blindfolds off. From what we could tell, they seemed completely surprised. We ate our food and drank sparkling grape juice, and then we went on to the next leg of our night.
We took them on a walk down to the park near downtown. While we had been eating, I had Andrew drive my car down to the parking lot at the park. Soo, when we arrived, they were extremely surprised to see my walk right up to my car in the parking lot and take out a couple of presents. We sat on the swings for a while, and then had them open them up. Since the two of them are our “favorite girls” we got them their “favorite things”. They each got a gift bag of their favorite color that contained their favorite pop, favorite candy bar, favorite snack, food, etc. We then drove back to campus and watched “Meet the Parents”.
All in all it was an amazing night. Hopefully the girls had as much fun as we did. But now it is late…and to bed I must go. G’night!!
We did… or atleast I did, I’m pretty sure Janelle did too, but I haven’t confirmed that yet. You are very good at the sneeky, sneekiness, but I guess that’s a good thing.
Silly mail people! I put it in the mail before they even opened, I don’t know how they didn’t get them out… it’s kinda agrivating.
But I’m glad you liked it. It took me forever to decide what to write because there were so many things I wanted to say…
