Dogwood Festival!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while, but I was a little preoccupied with getting ready for Branson. But we made it to Branson, so I’m going to take a few minutes to post about last weekend. Last weekend was Siloam Springs’ Dogwood Festival. So the outlaws came over and we went downtown. There were about a million booths and all kinds of crazy fried food, including fried pickle on a stick, fried alligator and fried snickers. We stopped at one booth and got a a couple of bows and then we stopped at Heather Hill and got this adorable bow!

Walmart also celebrated Dogwood with a wonderful $1.50/yard fabric sale!! So I got some things to make some sack dresses, skirts and scarves, etc.

Then, after grilling for dinner, Andrew and I made box for my raised garden bed. Safety is first when cutting the cedar boards in half:

We laid them out:

Then we drilled a pilot hole in the over lapped end:

And then screwed them together:

In the end, it was dark, but we had a square. Hopefully we will be able to fill it with dirt and plant my goodies in it soon.

All in all, a great weekend! Hopefully tomorrow we can post about Branson and Avie’s first swim!!
