The little lady love bananas! I mean, kid could eat her weight in bananas. And they are possibly the easiest baby food to make, if you’re making your own. Or even if you buy most of it and want to try to make a few things of your own.
I decided to keep my baby food containers and wash them out to reuse. In each one (these are stage 1 size, so fairly small), I slice a half of a banana. Then, with a fork, I mash it until it’s a consistency she likes. She likes things a little thicker, but you could mash them more if you had a younger one, or cut them into cubes if you have one with teeth.
Then we label and either refrigerate if you’re going to use them in the next day or two, or freeze if you want to keep them longer. I put 2 in the freezer, one in the frige, and she ate one. She’ll have them with her breakfast cereal this week. I’ll just pull them out of the freezer the night before so they’re thawed in the morning… or you can always pop them in the microwave for a quick warm. Just make sure to stir well to avoid hot spots and test it before giving to baby!
