A History of the Blog

PLEASE READ THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING OUR 1000th VISITOR SWEEPSTAKES!

I honestly am at a loss for words. So I suppose I will type this without saying it aloud to myself.

Way back in the darkness that was November, I never thought that it would get this big. Never. I’m simply surfing the net one day…just being bored and sliding around as normal, when all of the sudden an urge hits me. A blog. That would be fun. I should make one of those.

And so I do.

At first I write about political things, important things. However, I’ve never been one to talk about important things for an extended period of time, and so things began to turn personal. It was now December, and I had one or two people that actually did read my blog. Then…came the breakthrough. Another blog had joined mine. Welcome David.

Then I reported these happenings to the Abraham, and things really started to get off the ground. Before you can say “lacrosse” Abe has revived his blog and begun to post faithfully every day. Now the blog is getting advertisement time in my AIM profile, and so more readers are subscribing. Then comes the idea of a blog dealing with relationships. So Matthew jumps aboard.

Now that Matthew is writing, Jessica can’t help but to respond. She, after having been a regular reader for a week or so, opens her own blog. And, simultaneously, Rachel and/or Kelsie (which, by the way, is actually two seperate people) start up a blog.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Abe has sparked Sam’s and therefore Doug’s interests, and now they both have blogs!

Meanwhile, back at the other ranch, Dan Moyer hops on the train.

Meanwhile, back at the other, other ranch, Andrew and Nathan get on board. And then Thomas. And Ben Wiese, and Molly.

Meanwhile, back at the other, other, other ranch, Sarah the Red is getting involved.

And Ansen’s counter, after getting to about 125 or so after the first month, goes up by about 875 in the next month and a half.

And all I can say is crazy beans.

There are now SEVENTEEN people that have gotten blogs since that dreary November evening. Seventeen! I never knew my life could make such an impact.

And now it’s the glory days. To you other sixteen I say, “Let us continue to press forward without regret, blogging the heck out of anything that stands in our way!!!” We have done well, and things are only going to go uphill from here.

    3. Definetely the way Ansen plays the opening riff to “Now that you’re near.” Cause the guitar all comes in and is like “dum, dum, dum, dum” and then I click my sticks like “click, click, click” and then I hit some stuff like “crash, bum, bum, click” and meanwhile Ansen and Abe et al are all rockin out. Whew. It just gets one excited.

    3. All I can say about Ansen is that I honestly would marry that boy if he were only 3 years older. That hair….those eyes…that voice….that style…plus that kid loves God and has a way with the ladies. Yay Ansen!
